DINNER DATE

HOME - Nobu, London

Where?
Metropolitan Hotel
19 Old Park Lane
London
W1Y 4LB

What's it all about?
The menu offers a sublime combination of Japanese classics such as sushi and miso soup but Nobu has also created its very own signature menu including prawn tempura roll, wagyu beef and, the now famous, black cod in miso. Presentation is everything at Nobu, from the handcrafted dishes on which the dishes are served to the exciting mouthfuls of sushi itself. There is a very good range of sakes to sample too.

Style?

The restaurant is a modern, minimalist Japanese-inspired dining room overlooking Park Lane and leafy Hyde Park. The minimalist sleek design has neutral tones and cream leather seating which creates a modern yet comfortable environment. The restaurant's décor and design complement the vibrancy and richness of the food. Nobu London was the first Asian restaurant to receive a Michelin star, and also voted the most popular restaurant in the 2005 London Zagat Survey.
