Bike & Travel is a Thai cycling tour operator which has been based in Bangkok since 1995, and they specialise in mountain and road biking in Thailand and the Mekong countries. Cycling is a very eco-friendly activity and the company do everything where possible to support nature and the environment along each of the cycling routes. Bike & Travel also aim to support local Thai people and employ locals to join their work team.  The company also donate money on a regular basis back into the local communities which are visited during the tours.

There are a wide variety of tours available for people with all levels of fitness and ability to cycle, but essentially each tour takes the cyclists on a journey to areas of Thailand that remain unspoilt from heavy tourist flow.

Amphawa Bike Ride – Hidden Thailand Paradise is a day tour and won Tourism Award of the Year in 2002.
Itinerary: Bangkok – Samut Songkram – Ratchaburi – Bangkok (Ride 20 - 30 km)

This cycling tour promises to take you on an adventurous route taking you around the small backstreets and alleys, past temples, schools, typical Thai style houses and coconut plantations and through lush green tropical fruit orchards and gardening villages. This really is the only way to discover real local Thai life!



0700 depart Bangkok by an air-conditioned van to Samut Songkram Province. The ride begins on village roads past tropical fruit orchards, coconut plantations, temples and agricultural villages to the ‘Damnoern Saduak Floating Market’. Here one will get an experience of traditional market life style where traders meets on the narrow ‘klongs’ to trade products and wares by sampan boat. The cycle journey continues on to a riverside restaurant on the Mae Klong River for a local Thai lunch, all freshly caught and cooked! After lunch there is a boat trip along the river to learn more about Thai life in the past at the ‘King Rama Park II’. Along the river a stop is made at a magnificent wood carving of a Buddhist temple, the  Hall of ‘Wat Bang Kae’. The tour finishes at 1730 on arrival back in Bangkok.

Amphawa and Bang Khonthi in Samut Songkhram, two of the smallest provinces in Thailand, are situated between the Mea Klong River and the Gulf of Thailand coast which have long been recognized as the Green Ring. The Green Ring surrounds Bangkok city and is where famous fruits such as pomelo, mangoes, grapes, guava, jackfruit, rose apple coconut, banana, and lychee are all grown.
